We recently had the pleasure of hosting the family and colleagues of Dr. Wai Tak Cheung for the official dedication ceremony of the Wai Tak Cheung Library Collection. Dr. Cheung was a pioneer of acupuncture in America and helped develop the curriculum for OCOM. You can read more about his amazing life here: https://library.ocom.edu/special-collections/wai-tak-cheung-collection
Dr. Wai Tak Cheung donated his vast personal library to OCOM in 2011. After many years of work by dedicated staff and volunteers, the collection is now available to researchers at OCOM and around the country. On October 16, 2017, we celebrated the completion of the processing of those books and invited the Cheung family and friends to the library for the official dedication of the collection. Gene Bruno, Eric Stephens, and two of Dr. Cheung’s children, Evelyn and David, shared stories and reminisced about Dr. Cheung’s life and legacy.
