Fake news. Clickbait. Alternative facts. Post-truth. There are a lot of words being used to talk about the reliability of news media, but what it mostly boils down to is the need for people to be able to assess whether or not information resources are credible and reliable. The process of being information literate has never been an easy one, but being able to parse truth from lies, acknowledge biases, and distinguish between news stories and advertising are vital skills for not only practitioners, but citizens.
